Identifying Tax Credits for Early Stage R&D Companies

This seminar will focus on providing the descriptions of various federal and state tax credit programs as well as business development incentives offered by the City of St. Louis. Find out how small and mid-size companies can qualify for and recover Federal R&D Tax Credits which could potentially offset your tax liability on a dollar-for-dollar basis and be carried forward for 20 years. Find out what state and local programs you are eligible for and where to start and locate your business in order to maximize your benefits. For current businesses, find out how to earn credits right now for large capital investments and new full-time positions. For entrepreneurs looking to start a business find out how to signup for tax credit programs now that will earn you income tax credits as your company grows. A company does not necessarily need to be able to use the state tax credits themselves as many of the tax benefits are transferable. This subject matter will be presented through lectures with handout materials provided, case studies, and Q&A panels. The program is tailored for entrepreneurs in the R&D business sector, and non-tax professionals such as lawyers and accountants working with these businesses.
